Last year’s Seattle International Comedy Competition was, well, as our abbreviated name implies, SICC.

Field Arts & Events Hall in Port Angeles joined our schedule the day after Thanksgiving with a sold out show after a picturesque, rain free drive to get there. Moreover, Governor Ferguson and Colleen attended the last night at Laughs, filmed by past champ, David Crowe.

Alas, 2026 has turned out to be a challenging puzzle. With the new year, we revived our Comedy Underground name to encompass both the Seattle and San Francisco comedy competitions as well as a new concept, cutting edge shows. It required a new website design that is still a work in progress.

Then we heard from the beautiful Mt. Baker Theatre in Bellingham that the only date they had available for us was the Sunday of Thanksgiving Weekend when the winner will be announced. With much trepidation, we conveyed the news to Angela & Dave Dennison at Laughs. To their eternal credit, they understood, agreeing to now host opening preliminary round and semi-final nights instead. God bless you, Angela & Dave.

We still have a couple unscheduled dates but seeing that tickets are selling briskly at Mt. Baker, we thought it best to let our fans know what’s going on.
