Celebrating 50 Years of Bay Area Comedy 

We are aware of the statements shared publicly regarding serious past conduct within the comedy community,  as well as concerns voiced by our performers and audience. We take allegations of sexual assault with utmost seriousness. Our primary commitment is maintaining a safe, respectful environment across our productions. While our competition concluded based on predetermined scoring and judging criteria, we hold our platform and affiliations to clear ethical standards. Effective immediately the Comedy Underground, Fox Productions, and the San Francisco Stand-Up Comedy Competition have ceased all promotion, marketing, features, and future bookings with the performers in question. We will not be providing a platform or ongoing professional affiliation moving forward.  We recognize the pain and complexity this brings to our creative community. We are actively reviewing our production protocols and reporting processes to ensure our stages remain safe spaces for all artists.
